A tenant as of September, Seedcha is a new edition to Notman House. The company is the brain child of two friends, Lauren Lallemand and Rivellie Tchuisseu, who met doing their Masters degrees studying the development of rural areas and agriculture.

Having both lived and worked for many years overseas, they wanted to create a copmany where they could seek out interesting research projects and collaborations related to the themes of agriculture and environment both in Canada and abroad.

The company applies for funding from the public sector (federal and provincial governments), international development organizations, research institutes, and non-governmental organizations to do applied research on the agri-food industry, the environment, and climate change.

If you’re interested in chatting about challenges related to sustainable development we are always happy to oblige! Also, if you need any advice about house plants or gardens be sure to pop by and see Lauren.

We are so excited to share our first year in business with other tenants in the building!
